The dashboard lives at astroshield.dev/dashboard. Everything you do there, from redeeming a license to banning a player, belongs to your account, so secure it.
Signing in#
Sign-in is done with Discord. Click Continue with Discord on the login page and approve the request.
- Your Discord ID is linked to your account. The in-game panel uses it to recognize you, see In-game panel.
- The first time you sign in, AstroShield adds you to its Discord server. The sign-in asks Discord for the permission to do that.
- A session lasts 7 days. After that you sign in again.
- Signing in means you accept the Terms and Conditions.
The language switcher lets you use the dashboard in English, Čeština, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Magyar, Nederlands, Polski, Português, 中文 or 한국어. These docs are in English.
Two-factor authentication#
Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy or 1Password. It is strongly recommended for every owner and admin, because the dashboard can ban players and run console commands.
To enable it:
- Open Account Settings from the user menu and find Two-factor authentication.
- Click Enable 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you cannot scan it, use Enter this key manually.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and click Verify and enable.
- Copy your backup codes and store them somewhere safe. Each code works once, and they are not shown again.
After that, every new sign-in with Discord is followed by a 2FA check. Until you pass it you can only open the home page, login, pricing and terms pages. If you lose your phone, use Use a backup code instead.
To turn it off, click Disable 2FA and confirm with a code from your app. Too many wrong codes lock the check for a few minutes.
Active sessions#
Active sessions lists the devices that are signed in to your account, with the browser, operating system, IP and when they were last active. Use Sign out on a single device, or Sign out all other devices if you think someone else has access.
Connected accounts#
Your Discord account is linked automatically. Under Connected Accounts you can link it again or unlink it. Unlinking removes the ability to sign in with Discord, so make sure you have another way in first.
Customer role on Discord#
Owners of an active server can claim the customer role on the AstroShield Discord. In Account Settings, Customer Status, click Claim Role. You need to:
- own at least one active server,
- have linked your Discord account,
- be a member of the AstroShield Discord server.
The panel tells you which of those is missing.
Staying safe#
- Turn on 2FA and keep the backup codes offline.
- Only give people the permissions they actually need. Console, Rules and Configuration are powerful.
- Never share your
.keyfile or your Discord webhook URLs. See Security and privacy.
