AstroShield is an anticheat for FiveM servers. You install it as a resource, and you run it from a web dashboard at astroshield.dev. It detects and punishes cheaters, blocks trigger abuse and gives your staff live tools to moderate the server.
The three parts#
| Part | What it is | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Resource | The AstroShield folder in your resources directory: Lua scripts, a JavaScript bridge and the in-game panel. | Runs on your server and on your players' clients. Enforces the detections, bans players and collects evidence. |
| Backend | AstroShield's own servers. | Checks your license, locks it to your server's IP, stores your configuration and ban records and relays dashboard actions to your server. |
| Dashboard | astroshield.dev/dashboard | Where you and your staff manage the server: configuration, bans, players, rules, admins and the live console. |

Dashboard ◄────────► AstroShield backend
(you and your staff) (license, config, bans)When the resource starts it opens a single outbound connection to the backend, authenticates with your license key and receives your configuration. From then on, every change you save in the dashboard is pushed to the running server. No restart is needed for configuration changes.
What it protects against#
- Cheat menus and injectors. Injected code, calls made by injected code and known menu signatures. See Executors.
- Trigger abuse. Server events are rate limited and their payloads inspected by the event protection guard.
- Entity and world abuse. Blacklisted or spoofed vehicles, peds and objects, explosion and particle spam, entities attached to other players, crashers.
- Player cheats. Godmode, teleport, noclip, speed hacks, freecam, invisibility, spectate and more.
- Weapon cheats. Weapon spawners, ammo and damage changes, aimbot, silent aim, magic bullet and no recoil.
The complete list, with every option, is in the detection reference.
No anticheat catches everything. AstroShield is one layer of protection, so keep validating the data your own scripts receive in their server events.
What you get#
- Identifier and hardware bans. A ban matches the player's license, Steam, Discord, FiveM and Xbox identifiers, their IP and their hardware tokens, so a new account is not enough to come back.
- Evidence. When a detection leads to a ban, AstroShield asks the player's client for a short video clip of the game view and stores it with the ban.
- Live tools. Player list, live map, screen view, resource control, console and an event feed, all in the dashboard and in the in-game panel.
- Custom rules. Build your own event, condition and action rules without writing code. See Custom rules.
- Developer API. Exports and events for your own scripts. See the developer reference.
