This is the short version. Installation covers every step in detail.
Buy a license and redeem it
Buy a plan on the AstroShield store. Tebex emails you a Transaction ID. Sign in at astroshield.dev with Discord, open the dashboard, click Redeem, choose New Server and paste the ID. See Buying and redeeming.
Download the resource
After redeeming, the dashboard opens the Setup Wizard. Click Download Resource to get a ZIP made for your license. Extract it into your resources folder so you end up with resources/AstroShield.
The folder must keep the name AstroShield, and it must contain the hidden .key file. Copy hidden files when you upload.
Add it to server.cfg
start AstroShield
add_ace resource.AstroShield command allow
add_unsafe_child_process_permission AstroShieldPut these lines above the rest of your resources.
Start the server
On the first start AstroShield connects to the backend, binds your server's IP to the license and prints its banner. It then adds its protection to the manifests of your other resources and tells you to restart.
Restart once more
Restart the server so your resources load the protection. Open the dashboard: your server shows as Online and you can now configure the anticheat.
Test without banning anyone
Turn on Dev Mode in the dashboard under Configuration, General. Detections are then only written to the server console and nobody is kicked or banned. Turn it off when you are happy with the results.
