The Bans page lists every ban on your server. It needs the Bans permission.
The ban list#
- Search by player name or ban ID, and switch the filter between Player and Ban ID.
- Sort with newest first or oldest first. The list is paged.
- A ban without a detection is labeled Manual, for example a ban you imported from another anticheat.
- The evidence column shows an image or video clip when the ban has one. Hover a video to play it.
Click a ban to open its record:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Reason and Description | Why the player was banned, as the detection or rule reported it. |
| Detection | The detection that fired, for example antiNoclip, or Custom Rule: <name> for a custom rule. |
| Identifiers | Steam, License, License 2, Discord, Xbox, IP and HWID of the banned player. |
| Evidence | The video clip captured when the ban happened. Click View full evidence to open it. |
| Lookup activity | What AstroShield knows about the player elsewhere. See Lookup. |
Use Copy ID to copy the ban ID. It is the same ID the player saw on the ban screen.
How bans are created#
- Detections. When a detection set to ban fires, the player is isolated, a video clip is requested from their client, the ban is stored and the player is dropped. See Punishments.
- Custom rules. A rule with a Ban Player action creates a permanent ban.
- Imports. Bans imported from another anticheat are saved as manual bans.
A ban matches the player's license, Steam, Discord, FiveM and Xbox identifiers, their IP and their hardware tokens. A banned player who tries to join sees a ban screen with your ban message, the ban ID, the reason and an optional Discord button.
Remove a ban#
Select Remove in the ban's record, or tick several rows and use Delete selected. Removed bans cannot be restored.
A removed ban takes effect at once. When a banned player tries to join, AstroShield checks the dashboard's current list while the ban screen is already showing, so a player you just unbanned is let in. You can also unban from the in-game panel or the server console with astroshield unban <id>. See Console commands.
Import, export and remove all#
These tools live in Configuration, on the Bans tab, and need the Configuration permission.
- Import Bans. Choose the source, currently WaveShield, then upload the JSON file you exported from it. Imported bans are saved as manual bans, and entries that cannot be read are skipped. The result tells you how many were imported and skipped.
- Export Bans. Export to JSON downloads all bans of the server in AstroShield's format, for backups or for moving to another server.
- Remove All Bans. In the danger zone. It deletes every ban of the server, including bans made by the anticheat, and cannot be undone. A confirmation dialog protects it.
Export your bans before you remove all of them or move to a new license.
